Dr. Meng Sun is an associate professor at Tsinghua University, School of Environment. He received his B.S. and M.S. in Environmental Engineering at Jilin University, China, and received his Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering at the Research Center for Eco-Environmental Science (RCEES), Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2016. During his doctoral research, he was mentored by Prof. Jiuhui Qu and conducted studies on developing advanced electrochemical technologies for water purification and reuse. In order to elucidate electrochemical interfacial mass transfer, Dr. Meng Sun joined Prof. Jinghong Li’s group at Tsinghua University, Department of Chemistry. During that time, he was well trained in electroanalytical chemistry and nanoscopic electrochemistry. His research interest gradually shifted to innovative electrochemical processes for water treatment and resource recovery. To further broaden his research to interdisciplinary technology integration, Meng Sun joined Prof. Elimelech’s group as an associate researcher at Yale University and focused on the development of next-generation electrified membrane materials and processes at the water-energy nexus.
Dr. Meng Sun has authored more than 50 refereed journal publications in the fields of environments, energy, nanotechnology, and chemistry, including research and invited review articles in Nature Communication, Environ. Sci. Technol. Environ. Sci. Tech. Let., Adv. Energy Mater., Adv. Funct. Mater., and Nano Today, and is co-author of two books. By July 2022, these publications have gained a total citation of over 3000 times in Google Scholar (H index 27). Found on his research interests, Dr. Meng Sun has held six Chinese and international patents.
孙猛,2021年7月加入清华大学,现任清华大学环境学院水质与水生态研究中心副研究员,教育部青年长江学者。分别于2009年和2012年在吉林大学获得环境工程学士和硕士学位,于2016年在中国科学院生态环境研究中心获得环境工程博士学位。2016至2021年在耶鲁大学化学与环境工程系任博士后助理研究员,期间在电化学、纳米材料、膜技术等领域开展交叉研究,迄今在环境、能源、纳米和化学领域国际知名期刊发表SCI论文50余篇,其中,以第一/通讯作者在Nature Communication, Environ. Sci. Technol. Environ. Sci. Tech. Let., Adv. Energy Mater., Adv. Funct. Mater., Nano Today等国际知名期刊发表论文近40篇,其中ESI高被引论文5篇,封面论文3篇,热点论文1篇。参编英文专著2部。截至2022年7月,所发表论文在谷歌学术被引用超过3000次,H指数27。授权中国与国际发明专利6项。
